Overview: We had previously worked with Nyanners through the VShojo collaboration and this time she was looking for something more inline with her aesthetic. Much like the Lord Athelstan PC, she wanted something unique with subtle references to herself. She gave a few ideas for themes and summed up what her aesthetic was and one of the things she had mentioned was “Eldritch Horror” which I felt had a lot of potential to pursue.

 

Challenge: Create a limited edition PC that harmoniously integrates eldritch horror elements with subtle nods to Nyanners persona.

 

Results: The final design elegantly merges eldritch horror and art nouveau influences. I chose the art nouveau style because of its  balanced blend of masculine and feminine characteristics and its fluid and flowing characteristics that I felt perfectly complements the enigmatic allure of eldritch horror. The front and side panel features a striking and mysterious stained glass motif illustrating tentacles reaching for crescent moon. I also  subtly incorporated hidden cat ear designs as a nod to Nyanners' persona. There are corner pieces on designed that were originally more round but Nyanners had suggested making the corner pieces more wispy, which I believe greatly enhances the eldritch horror aesthetic and was such a good suggestion in hindsight. The Nyanners Pc launched July 8th and it was received very well and was certainly one of my favorite PC designs. The potential the style had allowed me to explore and I think it really shows in the Website as well.
