Overview: The Masterworks rebrand was one of my first official projects at Ironside. The goal was to dissociate the product line from its original creator, 'Cole,' who had left Ironside under questionable circumstances; the original name being “Coal Mine.” They wanted the new logo to represent a higher-end, luxury line of products featuring more intense customization. The information pitched to me included incorporating diamond or jewel iconography, along with the new name: Masterworks.

Results: Ultimately this is the logo that was decided on. It takes great inspiration from the previous logo going under the name and turns the coals into geode-like figures. There were concerns with the logo looking too much like a jewelry shop like logo which is why we opted for more of an organic shape.
